END OF SUMMER CELEBRATION

As summer comes to a close, bring family and friends to an end-of-summer celebration and Himmelfarb School Open House to learn about Tifereth Israel Congregation’s social action initiatives, Jewish worship and learning, the SHALEM speaker series, book clubs, youth groups, hiking and yarning groups and more. Enjoy a showcase of talent, style and Jewish queerness as contestants compete for the honor of winning the annual NJB+ Pageant, formerly known as the “Nice Jewish Boy Pageant,” after happy hour. DINING OUT CEREMONY WITH JEWISH WAR VETERANS MID-ATLANTIC & ISRAEL

The Jewish War Veterans of the United States – Department of the Mid-Atlantic Area and Israel – invites you to its annual Dining Out Ceremony, a night of honor, tradition and fanfare. You don’t have to be a veteran to attend. Anyone who loves food, live music and good company is welcome to dine and hear from guest speaker Colonel Ed Rothstein, the newly appointed secretary of the Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families.
