It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann (Kernus) Yager, who left this world peacefully on Jan. 25 at the age of 90. Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a lifelong friend to many, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.
Born in 1934, Barbara lived a life full of love, dedication and resilience. She was the cherished wife of the late Gerald Alan Yager, with whom she shared a remarkable partnership filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a legacy of love and family that continues to flourish. Barbara was the proud and loving mother to her four children: Kevin, Karen (Leonard), Keith and Adam (Kelley). She poured her heart into raising her family, imparting values of kindness, perseverance and compassion that they carry forward.
She was the loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren, with whom she shared endless memories, stories, and life lessons. Her joy only grew as her family expanded to include seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and happiness. Barbara will be remembered for her passion of art and painting, quiet strength and the endless love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live forever in our hearts.
