Barry Joel Gimble passed away peacefully on Jan. 14, at the age of 78, following a long illness. He will be laid to rest at King David Cemetery in Falls Church, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marybeth; his two dogs, Luci and Mac; his sister, Lynne Cooper (Steven); his brother, Gary Gimble (Leslie); as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Barry graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1971–1973 aboard the USS Forrestal.
Barry was deeply loved and known for his passion for bowling, participating in multiple leagues. He was also dedicated to fitness, frequenting the gym several times a week and had a lifelong love of history, particularly World War II.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
