On Dec. 23, Bernard Jay Fixell, 92, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. Bernie was born Sept. 12, 1932, to Louis A. and Gertrude Fixell in Bronx, New York.

Nothing was more important to him than providing for their welfare and happiness.
