Bert Shankman, of Olney, died on Oct. 5. He was 78.
He graduated from Western Reserve University in 1965 and served on the board of governors of the Federal Reserve for three decades.
He was an avid photographer and his works were hung at the Federal Reserve Board, The Washington Post, Georgetown University and the National Institutes of Health.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Eva; his sons, Andrew (Janice) and Robert (Pamm); and grandchildren, Lily, Zack, Emma and Abby.
