Beverly Estelle Fisher was born on Sept. 2, 1936, in Washington, D.C., and passed away on Nov. 25. She was the eldest daughter of the late Harry and Sylvia (nee Frons) Fisher; dear sister of the late Sandra Fisher Irvine, the late Stanley Alan Fisher and Sheila Beth Fisher Wolk.
After graduating from Roosevelt High School in Washington, D.C., in the year 1956, she was recruited by the United States government to work for the Navy Department Bureau of Aeronautics. Beverly spent 40 years working for the government, mainly for the Department of Interior, which included various positions within, including the Bureau of Mines, the National Park Service, Water Resource Research Task Force, and the Environmental Impact Statements on Oil Shale. In 1996, she finally retired. Beverly generously gave to many charities throughout her lifetime, even after her passing.
She was extremely creative and enjoyed so many hobbies, and generously shared her beautiful creations with others. She was an exuberant travel enthusiast, touring with her friends to England, Spain, Brazil, Israel, Portugal, the Bahamas, Canada, Italy, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Mexico, sometimes several times over. Beverly dearly loved adventure, exploring new places, meeting new people, and seeing the beauty in the countries she visited. She was a caring, generous and loyal friend to many, and she will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
