It is with deep sadness that we share the death of our beloved Bonnie Faye Rubinstein who left us peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 6. Bonnie was the cherished daughter of the late Clara and Abe Pincus; adored and loving wife to Barry; devoted and caring mother to Michael (Christina) and Todd (Katelyn); beloved Grammi to Jasper, Arrow, Noa, Autumn, Roman, Hadrian and Balian; cherished sister-in-law to Lisa and Geof and her dear cousins in Baltimore.
Bonnie spent most of her professional career at NIH where she and Barry met in 1976 and married in 1978. Upon retiring from NIH, she volunteered at Travilah Elementary School as a reading tutor, at the Shaare Torah Nursery School and delivering Meals on Wheels. If there is one word that best describes her, it is devoted, as a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She adored her family, and they knew they were her number one priority. She was truly the matriarch of our family.
Though we are heartbroken at her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is at peace after valiantly fighting the ravages of ALS for so long. Her memory and love will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, Bonnie.
Contributions in Bonnie’s memory can be made to The ALS Association, Doctors Without Borders or JSSA Hospice.
