Dr. Charles Price

A beloved McLean, VA, orthodontist for 30 years, Dr. Charles Michael Price peacefully passed away on June 21 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 85. A United States Air Force veteran, Dr. Price was known for his kindness and sense of humor. An avid fan of all D.C. sports teams, he most enjoyed spending time with his family, often at Bethany Beach, where he could be seen conquering his daily crossword puzzles. A graduate of Coolidge High School and the University of Maryland, he studied dentistry at Georgetown University and earned an MSD in orthodontics from Howard University.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lois, his son, Brian Price (Celia), his daughter, Julie Barke (Brian), his grandchildren, Joey and Gabrielle Barke and Maddox and Levi Price, his brother, Paul (Roslyn), his sister, Emily, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.   1. Dr Price was my orthodontist when he first started and I have fond memories of my appointments because of his sense of humour. I remember him telling me about a movie he had just seen. The Sting and how he liked it. I was one of his first patients and he did a wonderful job
