Gisele Rachelle Tawil passed away Nov. 30. Gisele was born in Fez, Morocco, and immigrated to the United States in the 1950s. She was 95 years old. Gisele is survived by two children, a son, Maurice Tawil and his wife Anita, of Falls Church, Virginia, and a daughter, Liliane Drago, of White Plains, New York, two brothers, Jean-Paul Amsellem of Washington, D.C., and Norbert Amsellem of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and a sister, Sylvie Zawatsky, of Potomac, Maryland, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Gisele was a resident of Falls Church, Virginia, for the last 50 years. She was a beloved French teacher for 10 years and the office manager at the Bistro Francais in Georgetown for 40 years. Gisele will be most remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. The meals she expertly and lovingly prepared to gather her family and friends in her home will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be directed to Magen David Sephardic Congregation.
