On Feb. 3, Gloria Buckberg of Washington, D.C. Beloved wife of the late Albert Buckberg; devoted mother of Elaine Buckberg. Daughter of Samuel and Fannie Bean. Loving sister of the late Donald Bean (Fahnya) and late Kenneth Bean (Anne) and sister-in-law of the late Morton Buckberg (Yetta). Also survived by her son-in-law Timothy Helwick; cherished nephews Henry Bean (Leora Barish), George Bean (Jane Riskin), Donald (Skip) Bean, Jr. (Fionnuala Quinn), Thomas Bean (Elaine Becker), Douglas Bean (Sue), Philip Buckberg (Roberta), Paul Buckberg (Amy), Perry Buckberg (Stephanie), Mark Buckberg (Jennifer); grandnieces and nephews Bradley Bean, Eliza Bean (Max Kitaj), Emily Bean, Ilana Bean, Luke Bean, Max Bean (Tanya Desai), Samuel Bean (Rachel), Sunniva Bean, Emily Buckberg, Jacob Buckberg, Jonas Buckberg, Matthew Buckberg, Michael Buckberg, Millie Buckberg, Mitchell Buckberg, Nathan Buckberg, Paul Hond and Noah Miller.

Gloria was a vibrant personality with an infectious laugh. She graduated from Pembroke College of Brown University and earned her Masters of Social Work from Howard University. Gloria had a 20-year career in social work in Cranston, Rhode Island and Baltimore, followed by volunteer work (Montgomery County Office of Consumer Affairs, Corcoran Gallery of Art), and work as a real estate agent. In her later years, she enjoyed writing humorous poetry.
