
Frances Gratch
This is my father’s aunt’s recipe. The original recipe was double this and directed you to mix in a roasting pan.
For a 9 X 13 pan:
1/2 lb Medium Noodles
1/2 lb Cream Cheese
1 lb Cottage Cheese
1/2 pt Sour Cream
6 eggs
2 T Butter
1/3 C Milk
1 C Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 can pie filling (optional)
1. Cook noodles
2. Add cream cheese, cottage cheese, sugar and sour cream
3. Mix in all other ingredients, except for fruit
4. Bake at 350 for 60 minutes, then spread fruit on top and bake for another 30 minutes.
5. Kugel will rise and bubble slightly, so allow about 1/2 inch on the top of the pan.
