Janet Heimberg passed peacefully on Oct. 27 at the age of 90. Born to Henry and Sarah Zaitz on June 23, 1935 in Red Bank, New Jersey, Janet lived most of her life in New Jersey before splitting her time between Boca Raton, FL and Potomac, MD — the latter to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted and loving parent, grandparent and wife, and spent her spare time as an avid reader, sports fan and consumer of television news, among other pastimes.
She was predeceased in May of this year by her identical twin sister, Joan Goldrosen, and then in July by her dedicated husband of 67 years, Eugene. She is survived by her sons Scott (Juliet) and Gary (Amy), grandchildren Rachel (Bryan), Nikki, Allison (Jonathan) and Lauren (Logan) as well as great-grandchildren Harper and Graham.
Donations in memory of Janet can be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, The Phillips Foundation or JSSA Hospice, all of which are very important to our family.
