Jeffery B. Norman, 78, of Washington, D.C., died Jan. 5 from complications following a fall. Jeffrey was born on Aug. 15, 1946, in Washington D.C., the first child of Louis and Gertrude Ostrow Norman (both deceased).
He lived and worked for most of his life as a proud Washingtonian. His undergraduate studies were at George Washington University, and his law degree was completed at UCLA. He was elected and served as Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for the DC Government. He worked for the federal government as an attorney for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and was involved with several charities devoted to improving the environment, restoring and saving historic buildings, and other similar causes. He served on the board of The Avalon Theater and his condominium association. Jeffery had wide-ranging interests, including opera, astronomy, politics, baseball and movies.
Jeffery leaves his sister Robin (George) Depaoli of Vienna, Virginia, and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Eric. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
