On Nov. 10, Joachim (Jay) Baer of Rockville, Maryland, passed away at 94. Son of the late Ludwig and Hertha Baer. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Elizabeth; children David (Carolyn), Miriam (Ralph), and Judy (Stuart), and grandchildren, Alicia, Rachel, Jonathan, and Steven. He is predeceased by his sister Ruth Kra-oz of Haifa, Israel. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he moved to Israel when he was six and grew up there. In 1956, he moved to D.C. and later to Maryland.
