On May 17, Karen Lynne Modell, beloved wife of David; devoted mother of Jessa and Kayli; loving sister of Martin (Glenna) Krongold and Susan (Roger) Liddle; aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Karen founded the Montgomery Multiple Sclerosis Center, which provided community support and resources to MS patients and their families in the D.C. metro area. She embodied the motto “living life to its fullest,” overcoming all obstacles with determination and a smile, seeking out joy and adventure at every turn and loving others greatly. She was known amongst family and friends for her zest for life, elevating the ordinary into something special and spreading laughter everywhere she went.
