Lenore Cohen passed away at her home in Riderwood Senior Living in Silver Spring, Maryland, on June 13. She worked for many years in religious education, primarily at Temple Emanuel in Kensington, Maryland, where she served as a teacher and as director of education. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, she moved to Washington, D.C., as a child, attending junior high, high school and college in the city. She is survived by her sister Dorothy, and by her four children: John, Chip, Dan and Esther, and their families. Lenore will be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; and as an educator and a stalwart of the Jewish community. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Mobile Medical Care, Inc. would be welcomed. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
