Thirteen local synagogues, day schools and agencies had all or part of their endowments tied into the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington's United Jewish Endowment Fund, which had $10 million in assets invested with Bernard Madoff's investment agency.

¥--Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington
¥--Washington DCJCC
¥--JCC of Northern Virginia
¥--Jewish Council for the Aging
¥--Jewish Foundation for Group Homes
¥--University of Maryland Hillel
¥--Operation Embrace
¥--Ben and Esther Rosenbloom Hillel Center for Jewish Life at the U. Md.
In addition, the Curt C. and Else Silberman Foundation and the Greater Washington Jewish Community Foundation have holdings in UJEF.
