Moran voted ‘no’

Regarding Dmitriy Shapiro’s story (“Iron dome funding passed after bitter partisan fight,” washingtonjewishweek.com) on the Aug. 1 passage of $225 million in supplemental funding for Iron Dome – which passed the Senate by unanimous consent and the House by a vote of 395 to 8 – it should be pointed out that Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va.) was one of the eight “No” votes.  All the other Virginia and Maryland representatives voted “Yes” (except Eric Cantor who was absent and did not vote). I urge WJW not to ignore the local angle in reporting on actions in Congress relating to Israel. Your readers – most of whom live and vote in the greater Washington area – should be informed as to the positions taken by their elected officials.
