Neil Hoffman, Riderwood resident, passed away on June 30. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1944 and raised in Colonial Beach, Virginia, Neil received his bachelor’s degree from Randolph Macon College and master of social work degree from Florida State University. Loving husband of Linda Hoffman and father to Raif and Anna Hoffman, he was a devoted family man.
From his days as part of the Colonial Beach High School basketball team to the Riderwood Pickleball League, his love for both playing and watching sports was evident to all who knew him. Sports were also a way he built connections, from coaching other pickleball players to watching little league games. He will be missed for his energetic spirit and occasional cantankerous charm.
