Unexpectedly, on Sept. 20, surrounded by her loving family, Roberta Sonneborn peacefully passed away.
Beloved mother of Ruth Kimmell, Polly Garfinkle (Michael Satz), and Stephen Garfinkle (Lisa). Treasured “Grammy” of Zachary, Lindsay, Ryan (Hope), Matthew, Sarah (Jason), Jason (Lucy), Ellen and David. Cherished “GiGi” to Emersyn Kimmell, June Kimmell and Lucas Murray. Roberta was also the devoted stepmother of Cary, Cathy and Craig Sonneborn, and loving grandmother to Kyle and Casey (Christin) Sonneborn.
Roberta was previously married to Jack B. Garfinkle and later to Charles B. Sonneborn. She will be profoundly missed by her youngest sister, Rita Coopersmith. She was predeceased by her middle sister, Eileen Hermann, in 2011.
For the past 13 beautiful years, Roberta shared her life with her loving partner, Marvin Fischer. She adored her family, cherished her friendships and brought joy to everyone she met. Roberta loved to entertain, attend cultural events and dance the night away.
