Friends of the Israel Defense Forces has merged its Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions into a “mega-region” called Eastern Region, according to the nonprofit. The Eastern Region includes Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia.
Seth Baron, executive director of the Southeast Region, will become executive director of the new Eastern Region.
The FIDF credits Baron with overseeing “rapid growth in both fundraising and donor engagement in support of” IDF soldiers during his tenure as the executive director of the former Southeast Region.
