On May 10, Ralph L. Stavins passed away. He was 89. Ralph Stavins was a professor, lawyer and businessman. A native of Chicago, Mr. Stavins graduated from the University of Chicago and the DePaul University of College of Law. Following graduation, Ralph was a professor of political science at Reed College in Oregon, a former fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies in Washington, D.C., and partner of Stavins and Axelrod Properties Inc.
Beloved husband of Chong H. Chu-Stavins of 30 years; devoted father of the late Sasha Stavins; loving brother of Joel Stavins and the late Dan Stavins; son-in-law of Mu Kang; brother-in-law of Katie and Young Lee, Chongsuk, Myunghee and Maeron; cherished son of the late Evelyn and Arthur Stavins and long-time friend of Miles Beermann.
