Aaron Halper (known as Sonny), of Silver Spring, passed away on June 9. He was 93. He was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II, devoted father and grandfather. Sonny is survived by his wife of 68 years, Viola; children and their spouses, Caren Matzkin, Bruce (Jackie) Halper, Michael (Carol) Halper and Neal (Debbie) Halper; and seven granddaughters and two grandsons.
