On Sunday, Oct. 27, Arlyne Swartz of Silver Spring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Swartz and her children, Scott Raffel and Amy Raffel. Surviving is her stepdaughter, Marlene (Craig) Abelman; stepson, Barry Swartz; stepgrandchildren, Brett and Shayna Abelman; and daughter-in-law, L. Zapote Gregory-Raffel. Graveside services and interment took place on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at B’nai Israel Cemetery in Oxon Hill. Memorial contributions may be made to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, www.ushmm.org.
