Arthur Salwin, of Washington, passed away on April 6. He was 73. Arthur was born on Feb. 18, 1948, to Shirley and Harold Salwin in Chicago. He graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, and went on to obtain a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Princeton University. Upon graduation, he worked at the Weizmann Institute while living in Israel. He then returned to the United States, where he met his future wife, Nancy. They were married on July 31, 1977. In 1981 and 1983 he proudly and lovingly welcomed his two children into the world. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Edward and Rebecca; his son-in-law, Peter; and his sister, Barbara.
