Bad weather grounds McAuliffe, so he sends video instead

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe was scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia’s annual meeting on May 24, but the JCC watched a five-minute video of him instead.
Blame it on the weather.
In the video, McAuliffe, a Democrat, explained while seated in his office in Richmond that he was scheduled to travel to the event by state police helicopter, but inclement weather kept it grounded.
He praised the Jewish community’s resilience in April when the JCC’s building was vandalized. n
