Bert Greenberg was born April 16, 1929 in Baltimore and spent his youth in Baltimore and Philadelphia before moving to the Washington, D.C., area where he met his wife, Audrey, at the DCJCC.
Survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of over 75 years, Audrey Greenberg, and their three children: Barry Greenberg (Kay), Ken Greenberg (Kim) and Lori Genderson (predeceased by Jonathan). His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. The family business grew to become United (Drug) Wholesalers, which was a D.C. business leader from 1933-2006.
He shared an extraordinary and inseparable love with his wife, Audrey. They would often travel the world and were avid golfers. They were longtime members of B’nai Israel Congregation in Rockville, Maryland, where they resided, prior to making a permanent home in Sarasota, Florida.
Bert will be remembered for his warmth, humor, charisma and how he thoroughly enjoyed his family and his life.
