On May 4, Bonnie Pittleman Lewin of Chevy Chase. Beloved wife of Martin Lewin; devoted mother of Joshua Lewin (Laurie), Michael Lewin (Juliet Izon) and Allison Lewin; dear sister of James Pittleman (Susan), Judy Schwartz (Daniel) and Bruce Pittleman (Elizabeth); cherished grandmother of Chase, Dylan and Taylor Lewin. Lewin, 65, was a realtor for 27 years with Evers & Co. and most recently at Long & Foster. She was considered as the top agent in Somerset, the Chevy Chase community where she and her husband lived for around 30 years. She was also the lead sponsor for Somerset’s “Back to School Classic” road race. Lewin passed away from sustained injuries after being struck by a car in New York City, where she had traveled to do work, as she was a member of the board of trustees of the Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation of Greater Washington. Funeral services were held at Adas Israel Congregation in the District. We are so saddened by the loss of Bonnie, a wonderfully committed mother to her three children, totally involved in their school lives at Sidwell and a masterful realtor, trusted and respected by all. Our prayers and thoughts are with Marty, Josh, Michael and Allison. A wonderful person, taken too soon from all of us.
