Bonnie Yorke died on May 21 in Upper St. Clair, Pa. at 79 years old.

Yorke was born to Margaret and Hyman Weltman in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Mt. Sinai Hospital School of Nursing with a gold pin for the highest average in the school.

She continued to excel in the workforce leading to her being a director of nursing. Bonnie’s life was full of adventure. She traveled to all 50 states and over 50 countries. Throughout her travels, she jumped out of a plane, rode on a donkey up a volcano, tasted exotic meals and more.

Yorke is survived by her children, Edie Yorke, Geri (Gerald) Shapiro of Potomac, Nikki (Chris) Yorke-Chu, Stanley (Nancy) Yorke, Francie (Ronald) Yarwood; grandchildren, Aubrey (Andrew) Ginn, Amanda (Colin) Whitaker, Sadie Kalathunkal, Aaron Shapiro, Noah Kalathunkal, RJ Yarwood, Nathan Yorke, Ian Yarwood, Carys Yarwood and Samuel Yorke; and great grandsons, Gavin Ginn and Luka Ginn. Yorke is also survived by sister Joyce Tibaldi and Gale Trekelbach, and predeceased by Linda Dorsey and the love of her life, William Yorke.
