
Catalina Talero has become foundation director of the Tikkun Olam Women’s Foundation. She previously served as the director of individual giving at the Fund for Global Human Rights. Since 2011, she has owned her own company, Envaluate. She gained experience in senior-level nonprofit service at Global Kids, One World Youth Project and Asian American LEAD.
Born to parents who immigrated from Colombia, Talero is fluent in Spanish, conversant in French and has substantive expertise in civic education. She received an honors bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Toronto and a master’s degree in human and organizational development from George Washington University.
During her time at GW, she received a Fulbright fellowship for research focusing on civic engagement and peace education among youth in Colombia while affiliated with Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá.
