Maraji and Richard Gwynallen of Silver Spring, and Robin and Damon Rothman of Potomac announce that their children, Fawn Willow Gwynallen and Dylan Adam Rothman, were married on Oct. 18 at Springfield Manor in Thurmont, with Rabbi Shmuel Herzfeld of Ohev Sholom – The National Synagogue officiating. The couple met as undergraduate students at Towson University. The bride, formerly of Medford, Ore., and Wachapreague, Va., is the granddaughter of Rosalie M. and Russell R. Levin z”l of Philadelphia and Mildred L. and Worth B. Allen z”l, originally of N.C. The groom is the grandson of Edward z”l and Gloria Katz of Fairfield, Conn. and Annette and Morris Rothman z”l of Carle Place, Long Island, N.Y. The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Nov. 4 presented a free lecture titled Architecture of the Holocaust featuring Paul Jaskot, Ph.D., a professor in Depaul University’s department of the history of art and architecture, discussing the importance of spatial analysis to the study of the Holocaust.Photo courtesy of U.S. Holocaust  Memorial Museum

The Jewish Council for the Aging marked the occasion of David Gamse’s 25th anniversary as its CEO with a brunch at Woodmont Country Club on Oct. 18. More than 150 guests joined in celebrating Gamse’s 25 years at the helm of JCA and his lifelong dedication to helping all seniors thrive.Photo by Harvey Levine
