Joni-Lucas Shapiro announces the bat mitzvah of her daughter, Celia Shapiro, on Saturday at Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac. Joining in the simcha will be Celia’s sister, Frankie, and brother, Jonathan, and grandparents Charlotte and Lionel Shapiro of Silver Spring. For her bat mitzvah project, Celia volunteered with the Montgomery Avenue Women’s Center. Celia is an eighth-grader at Thomas Pyle Middle School in Bethesda.
