CESJDS wins 10 speaker awards

At the Junior State of America (JSA) Fall State Convention Nov. 16-17, The Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School (CESJDS) JSA chapter won 10 out of 64 speaker awards. Some 650 students attended the convention in Iselin, N.J., and five of the 26 CESJDS students in attendance won the awards.

Uri Schwartz, Yonatan Greenberg and Jeremy Kaplan won one award each. Cole Aronson won two awards and Matthew Foldi won the remaining five awards, for debates and talks on Iran’s right to have nuclear weapons, improving Congress’s approval rating and the purpose of third parties.
