She passed away peacefully on Sept. 4 in Sarasota, Fla., with her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert, by her side. She was born in Providence, R.I., to Lillian & Zelig Gorden. She and Robert moved to Maryland in 1955 and resided there until 1994 where they retired to Sarasota. Beloved mother of Debra Moser (Mitch), Diane Novick (Mark) and Bruce Dubinsky (Lori); proud grandmother of six grandsons, Gregg (Michelle), Adam (Yana), Steven (Ariel), Daniel, Matthew and Brian; great-grandmother to Lilly, Sam and Kylie. After raising her children, Claire, returned to the University of Maryland where she earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and was a dedicated teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools.
