Doris June Snyder, of Centreville, passed away on June 22. She was 90. Formerly of Trenton, N.J., Doris had been a resident of Northern Virginia since 1958. At the age of 41, Doris went to college, receiving her nursing degree from Northern Virginia Community College and a BSN from Marymount University. She went on to serve as head nurse of the Arlington Hospital (now Virginia Hospital Center) psychiatric unit in the late 1970s. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Axelrod, Sara Lissabet and Joanne Kennedy; and four grandchildren, Marcus Axelrod, Alex Lissabet and Jena and Jacob Kennedy.
