Dr. Robert L. Adeson passed away on May 31 in Rockville. Dr. Adeson was born in Pittsfield, Mass., and moved to Falls Church in 1963 when he opened a surgical practice in Alexandria where he specialized in adult and pediatric surgery. He was very involved in the Jewish community in Alexandria and loved sports and music. He also served in the Navy from 1961-1963. Dr. Adeson was married to Andrea Adeson for 57 years before her passing in 2012. He leaves daughter Jodi Morrocco and husband Jack of Framingham, Mass., daughter Amy Bernhard and husband Darren of Potomac, son Peter and wife Beth of Fairfax, and Gretchen Haimes and husband Yosi of West Hartford, Conn.; and nine wonderful grandchildren, Casey, Michael, Julie, Jane, Lewis, Emily, Gabriel, Zachary and Rachel.
