Dr. William Kurstin

Dr. William Kurstin, of Washington, passed away on Sept. 27 at the age of 102. Kurstin served in the Army as a doctor, and then practiced endocrinology in Washington, specializing in diabetes and weight management. Although he retired from private practice in 1996, he worked as a doctor for the federal government until the age of 90.

He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Sally G. Kurstin. He is survived by his children, Gary (Bette) Kurstin and Adrienne Maman; grandchildren, Randy, Todd, Joshua, Melanie, Ryan, Scott and Lauren Kurstin, and Michael, David and Julia Maman; and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Rebekah, Isabella, Addison, Maddox, Stryker, Samantha and Ella. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
