Impact DC, the Young Leadership of The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, held its signature gala at The Howard Theater on Nov. 20. Hundreds came to celebrate and honor the impact the younger generation is making in D.C., Israel and around the world.
More than 350 Jewish young professionals paid a $50 cover plus a $100 donation to nosh on Mexican and Asian food and dance the night away with Nationals racing presidential mascots Abe Lincoln and William Howard Taft. The crowd boogied down to the smooth sounds of DJ Ramzy.
The event raised $25,000 that will go toward Federation programs in the community. On a somber note, a moment of silence was held for the Har Nof terror victims.
“We are making people feel special about the money they give. It is a classy gala,” said Allison Cossman, account executive at The Federation.
