Edward “Ed” Isaacs, of Rockville, died on Nov. 25 from complications from injuries of a fall. He was 84. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Ed graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a degree in aeronautical engineering. He went on to work for the General Electric Company on a subcontract to Bell Laboratories on Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, where he worked on the Nike-Zeus Anti-Ballistic Missile System.
He worked for many years as a computer analyst for General Electric all over the country, including Rockville. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Edith; his son, Lowell (Michele); his daughter, Andrea Need (Bill Harkins); his granddaughters, Zoe and Ella Need; and his sister, Isabel Lerner.
