Elaine Esther Via, of Summerfield, Fla., and formerly of Washington, D.C., passed away on Nov. 2. Beloved wife of Robert E. Via Jr., brigadier general (Retired), U.S. Army. Dear mother of Joel (Sandy), Debra (Steven E. Dekelbaum) and Michael (Noreen) Friedman, Sharon (Larry) Dekelbaum, Vance (Cheryl) Duke and Tori Duke (Charlie) Whilden.
Cherished sister of Sondra Steinberg, Barbara Berger, Florence (Alvin) Zak and Brenda (Dwight) Hanley. Devoted grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 3. She is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
