Eric Luse, of Chevy Chase, died in his home on June 26 from prostate cancer.
Luse was born on May 15, 1952, in Paris, France, and grew up in Mahopac, N.Y. He graduated from Yale University in 1974, the American University School of Law in 1977 and the Columbia Graduate School of Business in 1978. When he moved to Washington to study law at American University, he met Susan, his classmate, who he married in 1978. They settled in Bethesda and had three children: Andy, Barbara and Jeffrey.
Luse was a partner and the founder of the law firm Luse Gorman, PC. He advocated for the community banking industry. Eric is survived by his wife, children and grandsons, George, Logan and Matthew. Donations may be sent to either the Semper Fi Fund, or to Columbia University Medical Center for the prostate cancer research of Dr. Charles Drake.
