Esther Croll Lerner

On Feb. 18, Esther C. Lerner (nee Croll), 98, died peacefully in her home in Rockville. Beloved wife of the late Dr. A. Ross Lerner; loving mother of Dr. Steven (Maida) Lerner and Sheryl (late Arthur) Silverman; devoted sister of Lorraine (late Jack) Brownstone and the late Dr. Diane Croll; loving grandmother of Danielle (Adam) Roffman, Douglas (Fabienne) Silverman, David (Jennifer) Silverman, Dr. Andrew (Dr. Andrea) Lerner, Michael Lerner and Rachel Lerner; adored great-grandmother of Sam, Arielle, Mia Esther and Chase Roffman, Selma, Naomi and Max Silverman. Born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Lerner was a graduate of the University of Manitoba. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lerner was known for her feisty spirit, her kindness and generosity, and above all, for remaining beautiful throughout her life.
