"Dear COVID" - a free virtual Poetry Slam and Open Mic event for the homeless

Join Busboys and Poets and Recovery Program Solutions of Virginia (RPSV) for “Dear COVID” – a free virtual Poetry Slam and Open Mic event on Saturday, January 9 from 6-8 pm. During the event, presenters will share their poems and prose about how COVID-19 has impacted our world.

RPSV is a nonprofit that has supported adults with mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness issues across Northern Virginia since 2011. RPSV is seeking both attendees and presenters for “Dear COVID”.

The event is free with a suggested donation to RPSV. All funds donated will be used to purchase needed products for RPSV’s Homeless Survival Kits. (The kits include a variety of items those without a home need, such as nonperishable foods, dry shampoo, hand sanitizer, masks, warm gloves, and hats. This year-round project helps those we serve with homelessness issues. Learn more at rpsva.org/homelesssurvivalkits.)

Tickets are available on Eventbrite.com under “Dear COVID”. To present, please email [email protected]
