Learn Western Sephardic melodies of Kabbalat Shabbat from instructor Hazzan Daniel Halfon who is committed to sharing and preserving Western Sephardic melodies. He grew up in the S&P community of London, was assistant hazzan at Shearith Israel in New York and is now a hazzan in Jerusalem.

Spanish and Portuguese, S&P or Western Sephardim are a distinctive sub-group of Sephardic Jews who have their main ethnic origins within the Jewish communities of the Iberian Peninsula (in particular the converso groups). They shaped communities and established their traditions mainly in Western Europe and the Americas, beginning in the late 16th century. The distinctive S&P ritual is based on that of pre-expulsion Spain, the Spanish-Moroccan rite and the Italian rite, as well as strong Western, including Baroque, influences.
