Seth Meyers and fellow Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen will reunite on Meyers’ new Late Night. Meyers recently announced on Twitter that Armisen, who also stars on Portlandia, is the new head of the 8G band.

“Fred will curate and lead the band, and continue to run it even when he’s off shooting Portlandia,” Meyers tweeted. For those doubting Armisen’s abilities as the new Late Night bandleader, the actor had previously appeared on the show when Jimmy Fallon was the host, participating in a drum battle with former bandleader Questlove, who is taking his band The Roots to Fallon’s new The Tonight Show.

Meyers’ first episode of Late Night premieres Feb. 24, with former “Weekend Update” co-host and Parks and Rec star Amy Poehler as his first guest.
