Frederic Trachtman, of Olney, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Feb. 6. He was 66. Born to Goldie (Bein) and Jack Trachtman in the Bronx, N.Y. After graduating from George Washington University with an MBA degree, Fred worked for Northwest Airlines for almost 30 years. After retirement at the age of 61, he found his passion for running when he joined the Montgomery County Road Runners. He completed two marathons and last year qualified for the Boston Marathon.
Devoted husband to Meryl Kline Trachtman for 37 years. Extremely loving and adored father to Rachel and Molly Trachtman. Dear brother of Richard (Lisa) Trachtman and Alice Schultz (Steve). Loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
