After D.C. Superior Court Judge Geoffrey Alprin denied Rabbi Barry Freundel’s motion to reconsider his sentence on July 31, Freundel has filed a notice of intent to appeal in the D.C. Court of Appeals.
Attorney Jeffrey Harris said he did not expect the matter to be heard for several months.
Freundel was sentenced to 6 ½ years in jail for surreptitiously videotaping women as they prepared to use the National Capital Mikvah.
