Gladys Balbus Lipkin, of Washington, died on Oct. 13.
She was a graduate of Cornell/New York Hospital School of Nursing and the Nurse Practitioner program at Adelphi University. For years, she worked as apsychotherapist, childbirth educator/Lamaze instructor, and author of nursing textbooks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Nathan Lipkin, and daughter,
Rebecca Lipkin. She is survived by children, Harriet Lipkin (Chris Sautter) and Alan (Barbara) Lipkin; grandchildren, Josh Sautter, Stephanie (Wes) Huffman, Richard (Summer) Lipkin, Sam (Julia) Lipkin and Molly Lipkin; and great-grandchildren, Rebecca Huffman and Poppy Lipkin.
