Gordon Zacks

Gordon Zacks, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Feb. 1. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Carol Sue Zacks; parents, Aaron Zacks and Florence Zacks Melton; and brother, Barry Zacks. Survived by his daughters, Cathy (Michael) Gildenhorn and Kim Zacks; grandchildren, Edward and Elissa Gildenhorn and Ariela Zacks. Gordon graduated from Bexley High School and the Ohio State University. He was chairman of the board of RG Barry Corporation. Gordon was a business executive, leadership authority, continuing education advocate and author. He helped strengthen leadership in America and Israel that was pro-American, pro-Israel, pro-human rights and pro-Democracy. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and trusted friend, he will be missed by all who were blessed to be a part of his life. Funeral services were held Feb. 3 at Congregation Tifereth Israel with Rabbi Harold Berman officiating, followed by interment at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery.
