On Saturday, Aug. 24, Halina Bester of Sunrise, Fla. She was born in Krakow, Poland, and later resided in Buffalo, N.Y. before moving to Florida in 1982. Beloved wife of the late Eugene Bester, devoted mother of Margot Bester-Markowitz of Potomac, loving grandmother of Brian (Jenna) Markowitz and Eric Markowitz, cherished great-grandmother of Chase Markowitz. She will be greatly missed. Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
